Dog Boarding for Your Family Friend

K9 By Anne is your dog’s home away from home. We offer overnight, weekend, short and long-term boarding in our climate controlled kennel facility in St. Thomas, Ontario. Your dog will be cared for in a safe, clean and healthy atmosphere where they can chew on their favourite toy, participate in a play group, play fetch with a member of our staff or just lounge and take a nap.

We have a Staff Member on Premises

You can rest assured that your dog will be properly supervised. We have a staff member on the premises overnight to make sure your pet is safe and comfortable. We are Dogsafe® Canine First Aid certified and located directly across the road from the Elgin Animal Hospital.

What You Should Bring

K9 By Anne asks that you please bring the following for your pet’s stay with us.

Your own food (please no glass containers or bowls)
Special feeding items (treats)
Medication
Toys and small blankets that are machine washable
Please do not bring feeding or water bowls as we have plenty
Current copy of your dog’s vaccinations, including bordetella (for new customers or annual updates)

Vaccination Policy

Your pet’s vaccinations must be up-to-date and proof provided on your first visit and yearly thereafter. Bordetella (kennel cough) is an airborne virus that can be present anywhere there are dogs (e.g. dog park, kennels, shelters, dog shows). It is often referred to as the doggie flu. The bordetella vaccine is given 2 different ways: intranasal or by injection. Intranasal must be given 2 days before boarding and the injection must be given 7 days before boarding. If you have any questions about vaccines, please call our office to discuss.

Boarding Hours

Mon – Fri: 8 AM – 6 PM
Sat/Sun (Holidays): 8 AM – 5 PM

Cost

First dog – $37.50 per night
Second dog – $32.50 per night
Afternoon checkout – $15.00 (if your dog checks out in the afternoon on the day of departure)

We also offer In-Home boarding for small, old or infirm dogs.

First dog – $40 per night
Second dog – $35 per night
Afternoon checkout $20

Cancellation Policy:
As we are limited in the number of dogs we can accommodate it impacts our business greatly when a reservation is cancelled last minute. Therefore the following cancellation policy is in effect:

We require 12 days notice to cancel reservations without a charge. For reservations cancelled under 12 days notice but more than 4 days (96 hrs) notice there will be a 50% charge for the time reserved. For cancellations with less than 4 days (96 hrs) notice there will be a 100% charge for the time reserved.

Please Note: After 6:00 PM there is a $45 charge to open the kennel. Please book in advance to assure we have staff in place to accommodate.
